Gravesend Eagles M.C.C. was formed in the late 1930s so that members could ride at Brands Hatch.

The Club meets every Friday night from 8:00pm in our own room in the Cock Inn in Luddesdowne.

We are affiliated to the ACU and to the AMCA.

We make a donation to a local charity as well as the Air Ambulance.

Throughout the year, members take part in various aspects of the sport, and compete in events like Classic Motocross, Road Racing, Grass Track and Trials. We are a member of the Kent Trials Combine, which entitles our members to ride in Wobblers and Group Events.

We have an excellent magazine with reports and future events that is posted to all our members. Many members own and restore classic and off road machines.

Here are just some of the activities that the club members can take part in during the year, all for the £17.50 Annual Membership.

  • Darts matches with nearby clubs and at our own clubhouse with a light buffet.

  • Various motorcycle trials to take part in or to help lay out and Observe:

    • The Richard Bartlett Trial;

    • The Watling Tyre Trial; and

    • The Thameside Cup Trial.

  • The Dungeness run, usually in April each year - our first outing on our road bikes. Most have pillions and most runs include stops for both lunch and afternoon tea.

  • Additional bike runs in May, June and July, including the George Thompson Run.

  • Annual Bike Night, usually in July, with over 100 bikes participating.

  • The Choe Chapman bike run, usually held in August.

  • A Christmas Party for all on the Friday before Christmas with a buffet.

All the above is done with a social co-ordinator a few members and a committee pulling together to keep this long established club continuing.
